Find Creative Voice

Your voice is not something you find. It is something you develop by writing.

Write a lot. Voice emerges from volume. The more you write, the more your personality shows through.

Stop imitating. Copying others is a stage, not a destination. Eventually your own style takes over.

Write what only you can write. Your experiences, your obsessions, your perspective. That is inherently unique.

Read widely but do not imitate. Absorb. Your influences become your own once you digest them.

Trust your instincts. The sentences that feel right to you are your voice asserting itself.
